Digital Gatherings: Reinventing Fundraising in 2021

Digital Gatherings Summit

Is your ministry wondering how to reach and motivate benefactors in the midst of the shutdowns?

We have been watching the landscape of fundraising at all sorts of Catholic organizations this year to see what is working.

And we have found one strategy that is standing out above the rest.

Reinventing Fundraising in 2021

Without a doubt, one of the most effective ways to engage supporters and generate funds in the midst of Covid is with a digital event, such as a “virtual gala.”

A year ago the typical donor would not have considered engaging with an organization through virtual events, but now they are EXPECTING to do so.

That's why 2021 is the year to rally your supporters with a virtual event, though it isn't as simple as just turning on a camera phone and recording.

Bringing in the Experts

Our mission at Petrus is to help as many Catholic organizations as possible to succeed with fundraising.

With that in mind, we are bringing together professionals from a variety of organizations who have done the trial and error to learn what makes virtual events successful.

These experts will tell you what did and did not work for their virtual events, so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel to produce an effective virtual event for your organization.

They will provide you with a step-by-step game plan for preparing your own virtual event.

"These unusual times have created challenges in our development work, but like all challenges, there is always an opportunity within. This year the challenge we faced was how to change course on our annual gala and turn it into a digital event. We raised more money than we did the previous two years.  I look forward to going deeper on this topic at the Digital Summit this January as we go Under the Hood, and discuss how technology can be a tool to create a very successful event!"
