FEASIBILITY & PLANNING STUDY

The first element of a successful Capital Campaign is the Feasibility Study. This is an organized effort to interview donors and prospects to determine their current level of engagement and willingness to support a campaign. Results will help the nonprofit determine whether to proceed with a campaign, how much can be raised and how long the campaign will take. The Feasibility Study is also an excellent early form of cultivation for campaign prospects.


CAMPAIGN COUNSEL SERVICES

What is included when Petrus manages your campaign?

Campaign Management

  • Developing a campaign plan with a THEME, specific TIMELINE, organizational STRUCTURE, and finalized CASE FOR SUPPORT based on findings from the feasibility study and in accordance with best practices for similar efforts
  • Assistance identifying, recruiting and soliciting a CAMPAIGN STEERING COMMITTEE to spearhead the campaign
  • Administrative support with GRANT WRITING, PROSPECT MANAGEMENT, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS and PLANNED GIVING

Marketing & Communications

  • Development of CAMPAIGN LITERATURE for use during solicitations, including a CASE FOR SUPPORT, PROPOSALS, and PLEDGE FORMS
  • Creation of CAMPAIGN VIDEO
  • Assessment and recommendations on creation of CAMPAIGN WEBSITE
  • Timeline and strategy for broad-based DIRECT MAIL campaign focused on securing campaign pledges

Major Gift Solicitations

  • Identification, rating, and screening of LEADERSHIP and MAJOR GIFT prospects
  • Engaging existing networks of support to build relationships with NEW PROSPECTS through personal visits and events
  • Support with strengthening relationships with key UNIVERSITY and/or DIOCESAN ADMINISTRATORS
  • Organizing PERSONAL SOLICITATIONS of gifts at all levels; training staff and volunteer solicitors in effective solicitation techniques and accompanying solicitors in lead gift requests as appropriate
  • Design and implementation of a campaign GIFT RECOGNITION PROGRAM
