Healthy Teams: Where Faith and Function Collide - A Talk by Matt Regitz on the Petrus Development Show

This episode of the Petrus Development show features the keynote address by Matt Regitz of Divine Renovation at the Petrus Development Conference (PDC) in June.  Matt joins conference participants to talk about the importance of healthy leadership teams in ministry.  By contrasting the characteristics of successful and unsuccessful teams, Matt outlines specific ways in which pastors and lay leaders can work together to build thriving parishes and ministries.

Petrus Development Conference Testimonial

By Meghan Larsen-Reidy, Campus Minister, Diocese of Pittsburgh

My background is in ministry and not in development; however, the pandemic made it impossible to continue doing ministry without fundraising. There was a reduction in the funding source of my job’s budget, and in order for it to continue, I needed to begin fundraising. Suddenly the Petrus Development Conference, which had not been on my radar before Covid-19, seemed like the most logical event to attend in order to learn more. Although I was initially intimidated because of my lack of prior experience and knowledge of the other attendees, I was at ease after the first few sessions.  I was inspired to hear about the growth one ministry in particular had because of strategic fundraising.  The lessons shared were ones I could easily apply to my own situation. Throughout the few days, the talks varied between practical development strategies, inspiring stories of serious growth in ministries, and useful...

The Petrus Development Conference on the Petrus Development Show

In this episode, Andrew shares with us what the experience is like at a Petrus Development Conference.

In June of 2021, we hosted the Petrus Leadership Conference in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado with one hundred development and ministry leaders from around the country. Over the three day conference, we had more than 20 presenters talking about the techniques and mechanics of fundraising as well as inspirational topics such as eulogy virtues and telling a compelling story. In this episode, we will share three brief clips from the conference just to give you an example of the content and quality of speakers.

On June 12-15, 2022, we will be hosting the Petrus Development Conference in another beautiful location, the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. To learn more or to register today, go to petrusdevelopment.com/pdc22

In-Person Conferences: They’re BACK!!!

By Mary P. Walker, Petrus Blog Contributor & Local Charity Board Member

In-Person Conferences: They’re BACK!!!

For over a year, we’ve zoomed our way through classes, conferences and special events. I have two fundraising lunches and a state convention on my calendar in the next month. In-person events are BACK! And, masking for the vaccinated is no longer recommended!

Yet, we’ve been conditioned over the last year to keep our distance and cover our faces. Do you automatically add some distance when you walk past somebody? I do. We’ve all changed our behaviors, AND made judgments about: (1) how people are over or under reacting to the risk of disease; (2) the response of our civil authorities to the disease; (3) the response of our Church and ministry programs; and (4) our personal levels of risk tolerance.

With the Petrus Conference just around the corner, and the three in-person events on my calendar in the next month, how are these dynamics going to...
