The Petrus Leadership Conference was held January 5 - 8, 2014 at Austin's historic Driskill Hotel. What a wonderful week! Our guests experienced the wonders of the hotel and their superb staff as well as the outstanding workshops and speakers offered.
We were so blessed to spend time with those in Catholic Campus Ministry and those from Catholic parishes. We are humbled by your dedication to your missions. Thank you for spending time with us. May 2014 be a blessed year of growth in Christ and in your ministries.
Remember to mark your calendars for January 2015!
Each January, the Petrus Development Innovations in Development Award will honor the Catholic ministry demonstrating an outstanding program/component of development, successfully implemented with a proven positive impact. Whether the ministry is large, small, young, or established, we warmly welcome nominees. The award recipient will receive a $500 donation to the ministry. Next deadline is November 30, 2014 for January 2015 Award.
Your organization has a website, a Facebook page, and maybe you are tweeting. But what about Pinterest? Recently, Pinterest announced they will be offering free accounts to non-profit organizations and businesses to help them make better use of the popular social network. These new accounts won't look different than the others and you will have "follow" and "pin it" buttons.
Pinterest is a content sharing service that allows members to "pin" images, videos and other objects to their pinboard and includes standard social networking features. Create synergy between your other social media pages and Pinterest for your ministry. Set up your organization's Pinterest account and when your followers see what you're posting, they can "pin it" prompting their friends and followers to take notice! Pinterest pins show up on Facebook and Twitter.
