Deacon Charlie, of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, is the founder and CEO of the Black//Brown Collective which builds go-to-market strategies to support diversity.
He is Vice Chairman Emeritus for Catholic Answers and serves on the boards of the Catholic Association for Latino Leadership, Tepeyac Leadership Initiative, and SENT Ventures.
Previously, Dcn. Charlie has also worked for mitú, Univision, the Walt Disney Company, and AOL.
Eva Daniel is the Founder & Owner of The Speak Shop, LLC, a company that trains individuals and groups on how to craft and deliver compelling content.
Former Speechwriter to Dave Ramsey and his team of personalities, and Senior Producer for the Focus on the Family Broadcast, she’s worked extensively with the nation’s top authors, speakers, pastors, CEOs, and executive leaders to create content that has been heard and viewed by millions.
Rosie Chinea Shawver is the Executive Director of the Catholic Association for Latino Leadership.
She worked previously as the Director of Campus Ministry at the Catholic centers for both the University of New Mexico and the University of Southern California.
Rosie has also served as a consultant for the Secretariat of Education for the USCCB and as board chair for the Catholic Campus Ministry Association.
Kate is the founder and managing partner of Mission Advancement Partners.
She is an organizational strategist with more than 20 years of experience in business and nonprofit consulting.
Having worked with for-profit companies, national nonprofits, dioceses, parishes and ministry-based organizations, Kate has experience in all phases of organizational development and change
David P. King is the Karen Lake Buttrey Director of Lake Institute on Faith & Giving as well as Associate Professor of Philanthropic Studies within the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
As an American religious historian, his research interests broadly include exploring the practices of twentieth and twenty-first century American and global faith communities as well as more specifically investigating how the religious identity of faith-based nonprofits shapes their motivations, rhetoric, and practice.
John Flynn is the Vice President of Philanthropy for FOCUS. Under his leadership, FOCUS successfully completed the 100 Campus Initiative, a $22 million campaign that funded FOCUS’ strategic growth from 58 to 100 campuses nationwide.
Through the course of his 25+ year career in development for the Catholic Church, John has consulted with over 60 Catholic campus ministries across the United States, helping many implement new development programs and helping others enhance and expand their existing programs.
Bryan Wilburn is the Director of Development for St. Paul’s Newman Center - bisonCatholic on the campus of North Dakota State University (NDSU).
Bryan has been with the Newman Center for eight years and has worked his way from being a development officer focused on annual operational giving to leading the fundraising team to meet and exceed their capital campaign goal of $33 million.
Joe grew up on a small dairy farm in Minnesota. He has served as a major gifts officer at the St. Paul's Newman Center at North Dakota State University since 2018.
Ryan is a native of Kentucky and has served as Director of Philanthropy for Holy Spirit Parish at the University of Kentucky since 2013.

Basic Training is pre-conference introductory session is geared towards new development officers. Here you will learn the basics of development and the fundamentals you need to get the most out of your experience at RAISE23.
Basic Training will begin Monday, June 19 promptly at 8:40am EST (after 8:00am Mass), and the RAISE conference will follow promptly at 10:00am EST. Cost for Basic Training is $50 per attendee and includes a light breakfast and extra learning resources.
