Position Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time Campus Minister to serve the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, AR. This individual will work in collaboration with the Pastor, staff, and student leadership to provide overall coordination and facilitation of campus ministry efforts.

This position is set to begin Spring/Fall 2024.

Essential Duties:

• Community-building and student programming:
  o Being present, active, and engaged with the community at-large, making newcomers feel welcome and bringing students together
  o Being available to students for spiritual direction, mentorship, discipleship, and guidance
  o Planning and coordinating student programming
  o Participating in teaching and faith formation initiatives and catechesis
  o Establishing St. Thomas as a hub for Catholics on campus and a welcoming space for all through evangelization and campus outreach

• Student Leadership formation:
  o Assisting in recruitment selection for student leaders for ministry
  o Aiding in the ongoing formation of leaders through retreats and one-on-one meetings
  o Encouraging student leaders to develop their own personal spirituality, know Christ and the Church, and be empowered to lead and disciple others

• Oversee campus ministry external communication and PR

• Manage campus ministry budget and ongoing finances in collaboration with finance team

Other Requirements and Skills:

• Master’s degree preferred in Theology or Ministry (MDiv, MTS, or equivalent) and/or possess 2-5 years of experience working in a ministry-related field

• Possess excellent time management and organizational skills, office skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

• Be familiar with the spiritual development needs of young adults

• Have experience in leadership development and training of young people

• Have proficiency with social media and communication practices

• Have an outgoing and approachable personality that is relatable to young adults

• Exhibit a dedication to the mission of the Church, able to defend the teachings of the Church, and be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church
