Director of Engagement

Posted: March 2023
Status: Open

The Director of Engagement serves our mission of evangelization and discipleship by creating and implementing a strategic, multi-faceted communications operation designed to build and strengthen the branding and reputation of the parish, while also seeking to encourage and elicit greater engagement of the BGSU Community, St. Thomas More parishioners, alumni, and other stakeholders in the life of the parish. As part of the Mission Support Team, the Director of Engagement collaborates closely with the pastor and other members of the Mission Support Team to advance our parish mission to draw in and send out disciples with the heart of Jesus Christ.

Repeatedly named the #2 Newman Center in the country by Best College Reviews, St. Thomas More University Parish is located directly across the street from the campus of Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Northwest Ohio. With approximately 20,000 students at BGSU and an estimated Catholic student population of 7,000, our campus is modern mission territory! A small community of permanent parishioners means that our students experience authentic parish life with families of all ages worshipping together every Sunday. Highlights of our campus parish include Holy Mass and Confessions every day of the week, missionaries from the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), an intentional residential community of students who live in 22 apartments on the parish campus, and a fruitful retreat program.
